On July 28, 2006, the San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission had a hearing on Peak Oil at city hall. Presentations were made by Richard Heinberg, David Room, and concerned citizens of the bay area. Approximately 100 people packed the hearing room on a Friday afternoon to see this historic meeting. Afterwards, many of the attendees took in some vegetarian food at a local Civic Center restaurant near city hall.
